 Notes for Measurements:

Please consider the following

  1. Place the tape flat across your body, with just the right pressure, not too loose and  not too tight
  2. Take at least two measurements to see if you get the same result and to make sure you have done it correctly.

Neck- The neck measurement is taken around the neck with the tape resting on your shoulders. You should put one finger between the tape and the neck if you want to allow for some extra room.

Shoulder Width- Think of a line going from your armpit straight upwards to your shoulder. Measure between those two points and hold the tape measure straight.(Above Video)

Bust- The chest measurement is taken as a circumference measurement around your chest at the widest point. Stand in a relaxed posture and breathe out.(Above Video)

Upper Bust- Just as in measuring the bust, wrap around the back of the torso, keeping the measuring tape up and close to the arm pits, but guide the tape measure up just above the breasts in the front.

Circumference of Sleeve- The circumference of sleeve measurement is taken as a circumference measurement around your biceps. Relax the muscle and measure at the widest part of your upper arm.

Length of Shirt- The shirt length measurement is taken from the top of the shoulder, close to the mid side of your neck, following your body down to the point where you want your shirt to end.

Shoulder to Waist- The shoulder to waist measurement is taken from the midpoint on the top of the shoulder, at the base of the neck, and follows vertically down the front of the body to the waist line (just about the level of the belly button- see waist measurement if further clarification is needed).

Waist- The waist measurement is taken as a circumference measurement around your waist just above your belly button. Stand in a relaxed posture and breathe out.(Above Video)

Hips- The hip measurement is taken as a circumference measurement around the widest part of your hips and buttocks.(Above Video)

Thigh- The thigh measurement is taken as a circumference measurement around the widest part of your thigh.  First, stand in a relaxed manner. Please remember to neither contract, nor flex your thigh muscles while doing so. Wrap the tape around the fullest part of your thigh for proper thigh measurement.

Length of Sleeve- The length of sleeve measurement is taken from the point of your shoulder (where you took the shoulder width measurement), following your BENT ARM down to where you want the sleeve to end.(Above Video)

**NOTE 1! Bend your arm slightly when taking this measurement.

**NOTE 2! This measurement is always the full length of the arm. For short sleeve and 3/4 sleeve you should still measure the full length of the arm.

Length of Pant(Inseam/Outseam)

Length of Skirt (Pencil Skirt)- The length of skirt measurement is taken from your waist and runs vertically down your body to below your knee, to the desired length.

Length of Dress (Short Fitted Dress) The length of the dress (short) measurement starts at the top of your shoulder and runs vertically, down the body to your desired length of dress above the knee.

Length of Dress(Party Dress)- The length of the dress (Long) measurement starts at the top of your shoulder and runs vertically, down the body to your desired length of dress to the ground.
